ARTIST STATEMENT

I am an abstract and conceptual artist working at the intersection of minimalist form and contemplative sensibility. My compositions evoke imagined landscapes, thresholds, and portals — spaces of silence that invite quiet contemplation, introspection, and a sense of spatial transcendence. At the centre of my practice is a process I call weaving — a repetitive ink gesture that resembles a form of visual writing or journaling. Through repetition and sequencing, the work becomes a record of time, a meditation on cycles, and a quest for deeper connection within the world. The practice is informed by spiritual inquiry and theological thought, with the figure of the Virgin Mary functioning as a symbolic and conceptual reference. At the core of my work is attention to the fragility of matter, the sacredness of life, and to art’s capacity to express what exceeds the visible.
